Last Doctor Appointment.....

Today I met with my Primary Care Physician for the last time before my surgery.  She has seen me for well over 13 years, so she knows me very well.  One of the things she knows too well about me is that I don't go to doctors very often.  In the past 6 months, I have gone more than in all of the years I have seen her.  As I left today, she hugged me and said she was so excited for me.  I almost cried, because I know she truly is.  So wonderful to have a Care giver that believes in what you are doing.  She made me a appointment for the end of December,  just so she could see me.  I love you Nicole.  You are the best, and I am going to do you proud.

Hi, I'm Jennifer, creator of this Blog, and I am, on Halloween Day, beginning a whole new chapter in my life. I am a wife, mother of 4, Special Education Bus Driver. At this time, I am Obese. I will disclose my starting weight at a later date.
Now, I have not always been over weight, actually I was rather active young person, but at the years and kids came, I gained little by little. Seems like yesterday actually.
On to the good stuff!! On Halloween Day, Oct 31, 2011, I will have gastric bypass. To say I am excited is an understatement!!!! I thought what better way to share my experience than to blog it!!! Also, my dear friend Andrea is having the surgery the same day as well! So we are two VERY excited gals! So welcome to my journey, and get ready world!

What I've gone through so far.......

Per our insurance, 6 months is set aside to prepare for the bypass, 6 months of doctors visits with our private doctor, 6 months of support group meetings. I have learned so much and had so much support in the group meets. The initial consult with Dr. Scott, which yielded a ultrasound of the gallbladder, and the removal of the gallbladder. Just healing from that! The excitement is building! I am actually looking forward to shopping again !!! Maybe a PAIR of blue jeans!!!!

More of me......
